November 29th, 2012 | admin
Wachau Weinbauschule. In a modern cellar theory and practice are combined. The future masters of Austrian wine learn more tricks of the trade and graduate to become „Weinbau und Kellermeister“ after 6 years hard work. Himmelstiege, Kaiserwein, Tausendeimerberg and Sandgrube are a few of the wines to come from Wachau. Grown on the terraces of the steep mountain slopes. The bottled wine, one more step … the vineyard’s personal signature is designed and printed. Krems has, … a specialised label printing establishment which carries out this last step. It is after all the centre of the wine-making industry. Officially designated by UNESCO as World Heritage Site, this site is to be safeguarded for the future as a testimony to its enduring past. The 26-part tv-series HERITAGE SITES of the WORLD is available in Dutch and English. Looking for broadcast footage? Please contact www.stockshot.nl ©
